Meditation – Where It All Began

My first-ever blend. Created with intention, inspired by a need for calm.

Before RoxEssential was even a business, there was Meditation.

This was the very first essential oil blend I created, and it was made for myself. Having grown up surrounded by aromatherapy, I naturally turned to the essential oils I knew and loved when I was struggling to unwind and settle at bedtime.

I wanted something that would become part of my evening ritual, encouraging me to slow down, relax and enjoy a little peace after a busy day. And that's how Meditation was born.

Every bottle is made with intention. During production, I play 963 Hz meditation music and bless the blend as part of my personal mindfulness ritual. It's my way of bringing care, positive intention and a little piece of myself into every batch.

Despite its name, you don't have to meditate to enjoy this beautiful aromatic blend!

Its comforting, grounding fragrance makes it a lovely companion for yoga, Reiki, sound baths, reflexology, meditation or simply unwinding at home.

02 · Post-exercise ritual

Recovery – The Story Behind the Blend

An aromatic massage oil inspired by an overly ambitious gym session!

Recovery came about after one particularly enthusiastic workout.

I'd decided to increase both my weights and repetitions in the same session. Big mistake!

The following day, I could barely bend my legs. I was walking around like a robot, and even getting comfortable in bed was a challenge.

Drawing on my knowledge of aromatherapy, I created a blend to incorporate into my post-exercise massage routine, alongside a lovely warm bath. And that's how Recovery was born.

What started as a personal self-care ritual soon became a favourite with customers looking for an aromatic massage oil to complement their active lifestyles.

It's also one of my personal favourites after autumn and winter cold-water swimming. After being out in the cold, I love nothing more than warming up and enjoying a comforting massage.

Feminine – A Blend Close to My Heart

Inspired by 25 years of conversations, shared experiences and the importance of women's wellbeing.

After spending 25 years as a hairdresser, I've had the privilege of listening to so many women's stories.

For many of my clients, the salon chair became a safe space. Somewhere they could talk openly, laugh, cry and share what was happening in their lives.

I've listened to women navigating PMS, perimenopause, menopause and the emotional challenges that can accompany different stages of life.

Having experienced my own challenges with an underactive thyroid and approaching perimenopause, these conversations have always felt particularly personal.

I wanted to create something that encouraged women to take a little time for themselves, whatever stage of life they were experiencing. And that's how Feminine was born.
