Where Passion Meets Purpose - Founded by Roxanne Clark 2025

My journey into aromatherapy didn’t begin with a business plan. It began in my childhood. 

Growing up, my mum co-founded an aromatherapy business called Likisma in the 1990s. Although her time with the business was relatively short, her passion for aromatherapy never faded. Essential oils became part of everyday life from a young age, and watching her enthusiasm for natural wellbeing planted a seed that stayed with me. As an adult, I continued using essential oils with my own family, which inspired me to deepen my knowledge through formal study and eventually create RoxEssential.

Long before RoxEssential became a business, I was creating blends for the people I love. When my son was struggling with severe eczema, lavender became part of our bedtime routine and sparked my passion for learning more about aromatherapy. During periods when I couldn’t switch off or sleep, I created what would later become my Meditation Blend. After intense workouts, my husband would jokingly ask me to make one of my “potions” to soothe tired, aching muscles, inspiring my Recovery Blend. After spending 25 years as a hairdresser, listening to countless women aged 40 to 60 share their experiences of hormonal changes, I was inspired to create my Feminine Blend.

Every product I create has a story behind it. Each one is born from real experiences, a desire to help those around me and a commitment to creating blends with purpose.

Today, RoxEssential is a wellbeing hub dedicated to making aromatherapy simple, safe and accessible. I offer a carefully curated range of 100% pure essential oils, topical aromatherapy blends, essential oil infused shampoos, hair and scalp treatment oils, reed car diffusers, gift sets and other natural wellbeing products. Alongside my products, I provide personalised aromatherapy massage, educational workshops, corporate wellbeing sessions, private group experiences and one to one aromatherapy consultations, helping people discover how to use essential oils safely and confidently in everyday life.

Before founding RoxEssential, I spent 25 years in the hair and beauty industry as a stylist, trainer, assessor and manager. I am currently studying for my Level 3 Diploma in Aromatherapy and also hold Level 3 qualifications in Education and Training and Assessing, allowing me to combine practical experience with evidence informed education.

My Ethos

At RoxEssential, my ethos is simple.

Education first. Products second.

I believe people should understand what they are using, why they are using it and how to use it safely. My aim is not simply to sell essential oils. It is to give people the knowledge and confidence to enjoy aromatherapy as part of their everyday wellbeing.

Every recommendation is guided by education, honesty and transparency. Whether you are completely new to essential oils or have years of experience, my goal is to help you make informed choices that suit your lifestyle.

Looking Ahead

My vision is to continue making aromatherapy more accessible, sustainable and interactive.

One of my biggest ambitions is to launch the RoxEssential Botanical Bar, giving customers the opportunity to refill their favourite blends while reducing unnecessary packaging waste. Every refill will receive 5% off, rewarding customers for choosing a more sustainable way to shop.
